Dental Care

Founded in 2023 by two dentists and former classmates who had each gained experience abroad before deciding to start their own clinics together, Tor Dental has grown rapidly from a single clinic in Uppsala to three clinics across the Stockholm-Uppsala region.
The company specialises in general dentistry, orthodontics and implant treatment, with a strong focus on patient care and creating a welcoming atmosphere, particularly for patients with dental anxiety.
Today, around 15 employees work across the three clinics, with dentists regularly moving between locations to support patients and colleagues.
In the beginning, communication was no problem. With only two founders and a small team, everyone knew what everyone else had been told. But as the company expanded, that soon changed.
"It became difficult to keep track of who had received which information," Mira Florin explains.
At the same time, documents were scattered across different platforms.
"We had a little Dropbox here, a Drive there, we sent text messages, emails..."
The growing organisation needed a more structured way to share routines, documents and important updates, and a way to make sure everyone was working from the same information.

Tor Dental wasn't looking for a complicated IT system. All they wanted was one platform where they could:
Ease of use was particularly important, and that’s one important reason why they chose Ziik.
"It reminded us a little of Facebook," Mira Florin says. "And people already knew how to use something like that."
One place for everything
Today, Tor Dental has one shared platform instead of several disconnected ones. Documents, chats, groups, employee information and internal communication all live in the same place. That overview has become increasingly valuable as the company continues to grow.
"It replaces emails, Dropbox, Drive and several other tools."
Making sure everyone receives the same information
For Mira Florin, one of the biggest advantages is consistency. Instead of wondering who has been told what, important information can now be shared once, and everyone receives the same message. The platform also makes it easy to see who has read important updates.
"It gives us a much better way to standardise our routines."
A social platform as well as a work tool
Although Ziik is primarily a work platform, it has also become part of Tor Dental's culture. Employees congratulate each other on birthdays, share pictures from events and keep in touch across the clinics.
"I actually think that's an important part of a work tool too," Mira Florin says. "It creates engagement and contributes to a good atmosphere."
Easy from day one
Getting started proved easier than expected: Together with Ziik, Tor Dental imported its employee handbook and existing routines into the platform, making it possible to start using the system without rebuilding everything from scratch.
"That really lowered the threshold for getting started."
Groups and chats
Tor Dental uses both group communication and separate chats every day, making it easy to communicate with everyone, or only the people who need specific information.
Documents and permissions
Employee handbooks, routines, contracts and internal documents are gathered in one place, while permissions ensure employees only see the information relevant to them.
"Everything is collected in one place."
News feed
The feed is used for everyday communication as well as social updates, helping colleagues across the three clinics stay connected.
"It encourages people to engage."
User-friendly design
One of the main reasons Tor Dental chose Ziik was its familiar, intuitive interface. Because employees already understood how the platform worked, adoption happened quickly across the organisation.
"When we were just two people, we knew exactly who had heard what. But once we started growing, we needed one place where everyone could receive the same information."
